I am a family law attorney and judge, and I have dedicated my career to serving children and families right here in Dallas County.
I am board certified in both Family Law and Child Welfare Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Only 1% of Texas lawyers hold this distinction.
I earned these certifications through years of rigorous practice and hands-on experience. Throughout my career, I have handled complex family law matters, including custody disputes, CPS cases, property matters, and high-conflict litigation, always keeping the safety and well-being of children at the forefront.
My professional journey includes serving as an associate judge to the 7 Dallas County Family District Courts, working as a senior associate at a respected family law firm, founding my own family law practice, and spending nearly a decade as a staff attorney with Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, representing low-income families throughout Dallas County. During that time, I litigated jury trials, argued appeals, and was part of the legal team that successfully represented mothers in the largest child custody case in United States history.
I am also a certified mediator in Family and Child Protective Services cases, and I have been certified to serve as a guardian ad litem by the State Bar of Texas.
Beyond my courtroom work, I have long been involved in the legal community. I’ve served on the Dallas Bar Association Family Law Section Board of Directors, chaired the Family Law Pro Bono Committee, and remained actively engaged in organizations that work to improve the practice of family law and access to justice.
I earned my law degree from Texas Wesleyan School of Law (now Texas A&M University School of Law), where I graduated in the top quarter of my class, was a Dean’s List honoree, and founded a fellowship to support public-interest legal work.
